"Nightmares in Wax" was an English band of punk and rock genre that lasted from 1978 to 1979. In the year 1980, the group would change its name to what is currently called "Dead or Alive".

History & Line Up:[]

Formed in late 1978, Nightmares in Wax wanted to be nothing less (or nothing more) than the worst group in history. The concept was: “Well, we've stolen this keyboard, we might as well do something with it”. They came close to succeeding at their original goal.

  • Mick REID – Guitar

The first one to leave was Walter OGDEN, Ambrose will replace him.

A few weeks later, Ambrose left too.

Then, it was the turn of Mick REID to leave.

Then came Mitch and Sue JAMES (they were previously in the band The Upsets) to replace Ambrose and Mick REID.

Then came Joe MUSKER
